"I am compelled to create, and to share how I interpret the world. Painting outdoors, or plein-air painting, is my favored technique. Being outside and creating art fills me with a sense of well-being. I have been led to create outdoors, as it has been a good fit for my family's lifestyle, and it allows me to capture and experience my subject simultaneously. I am able to translate the moment, and the memory in a tangible work of art using both traditional and innovative media. Hence, art is not only the product, but also the process."
